Shamil graduated from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) at the close of the year 2008 and he immediately found employment in the Malaysian Judicial & Legal Service. His first post was as a Senior Assistant Registrar of the High Court of Malaya where he was assigned to assist the Honourable Dato’ Abang Iskandar Bin Abang Hashim, Judicial Commissioner (as His Lordship then was) and the Honourable Dr Badariah Binti Sahamid, (who was then presiding as the Judicial Commissioner for criminal cases) at Shah Alam High Court.

Shamil’s tenure as a Senior Assistant Registrar enabled him to procure precious experience pertaining to criminal litigation and bankruptcy law.

In the month of May of 2010, Shamil was transferred to Sungai Siput (U) Magistrate’s Court. He presided over a multitude of cases in his 5 years tenure as a Magistrate and through them, had sharpened his mastery of the law to a fine point, especially in the field of criminal litigation.

Having a passion and gusto for criminal law, Shamil decided (during the latter part of his tenure as a judicial officer) to fulfil his life-long dream of starting his own legal practice alongside his long-time comrades, Muhammad Akram, Hizri and Noorazmir.
